Penelope Cruz is a Spanish actress that has found success in America films. She began her career as a dancer. She studied ballet for nine years. However at age 15 she entered a talent agency audition and landed a contract to appear in SPanish television and music videos.
Penelope Cruz soon became one of the best known Spanish actresses. In the year 200 Cruz exploded on the American film scene starring in “Woman On Top”. She also starred with Matt Damon in “All The Pretty Horses” and with Johnny Depp in the drug movie “Blow”.
Next she played opposite Tom Cruise in “Vanilla Sky”. During this time she dated Cruise for three years. This of course was after his separation with previous wife Nicole Kidman.
Other high profile films include Gothika with Halle Barry and “Sahara”. In early 2005 Penelope dated Matthew McConaughey for about a year.
In 2006 Penelope Cruz starred with best friend Salma Hayek in “Bandidas”. The pair play bank robbers. Could there be a better pairing than Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz ?
