Britney Spears Big Comeback
I don’t get it. Several media types are calling Spears’ appearance on “How I met Your Mother” her “comeback”. Last I recall Britney was a singer and her comeback was the release of her album “Blackout”.
How many more comebacks will they allow Britney ? In November of 2006 Britney made an appearance on David Letterman that many were calling her “comeback”. To a certain degree it seemed like the right thing to do and Britney looked ready to work again. I was almost cheering her on. However we all know what a total disaster 2007 was for Spears.
Britney’s handlers have been working overtime to make Britney relevant again. She released a new album in 2007 in time for the holiday season. The spin machine was working overtime trying to convince people that sales were through the roof. The fact is the sales have been disappointing, not matter what her label and reps say. The real comeback was 100% FAIL.
